This week, I choose to take pictures of my dog, Violet, for my shooting assignment. This was a really easy assignment for me. Violet is a very lazy dog who likes to sleep and lay around the house, so making sure she stayed still for the camera was never an issue. The only slight difficulty I had was making sure the exposure was correct, as her fur is such a dark color.

For this assignment, we had the freedom to pick our own Photoshop assignments. Apart from one tutorial that we had to do, where we added a pop of color to a black and white photo, we could pick any tutorial we wanted. https://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/watercolor-painting/ I learned a lot during this assignment. There were some tutorials I tried that were very difficult others that were quick and easy. These tutorials posted above were not too challenging for me. There were a lot of layers involved in creating the watercolor, and painting effect, and I learned how to manage these layers and make sure they were in the right order. Overall, this was a really fun assignment.
This week, I decided to focus on architecture for my photo assignment. My friend and I found an old, abandoned house in the middle of a field by my house, so we decided to take photos of it for our assignment. I had a lot of fun during this assignment. A man who lived across the street from this house came out while we were shooting, and told us more about the house. It was really fun to learn about the history of the house, and about the people who first lived there. This was a pretty easy assignment for me. I did not have much difficulty capturing the structure and elements of the house. The one difficulty I had was trying to make sure my exposure was correct, as it was very sunny and sometimes hard to see my subject in the photos.
For this assignment, our job was to take a photo of the school, and edit it in Photoshop to make the photo seem completely different and maybe even unrealistic. I chose to make my edited photo Halloween themed. I put in a spooky background in the sky, as well as in the staircase in the school. I also put a witch in the sky and a pumpkin leaning up against the school. I learned a lot during this assignment. Before, I would definitely not know how to take a normal photo and edit it to make it unrealistic. Throughout the assignment, I learned how to erase parts of the original photo, and put the different layers in the correct order, so that the new background shows through. It was a challenging assignment, but I enjoyed seeing the final product.
For this assignment, our job was to take five panoramic photos. We did this by taking three photos of something, and then merging and stitching them together in Photoshop. I learned a lot during this assignment. I learned how to use the Merging feature in Photoshop to stitch all three photos together. Overall, this was a pretty easy assignment. I thought it was really cool to see the photos stitched together into one large panoramic from three different photos.
This week, I chose People as my main focus for the shooting assignment. I shot photos of my little sister, Maya. My goal was to try and take pictures that captured her fun-loving, curious, and silly personality. This assignment was a little tricky. Maya and I had to try a couple different locations to try and find the best lighting. However, I learned a lot during this assignment. I learned how to get Maya to laugh for a picture or do something silly at the right moment, so that her personality could be best captured through these photos. Overall, I am pretty happy with how these photos turned out. I am really happy with how I was able to capture her bubbly personality through her big smile and her eyes.
This week, my assignment was to take pictures of nature. I tried to capture pictures that showed a lot of the fall colors outside, and I also tried to take photos with different types of nature, including leaves, grass, bugs, and branches. I had a lot of fun during this assignment. Because it is fall, there were lots of piles of leaves to take photos of and lots of fall colors to work with. I learned a lot during this photo as well. I learned how to take really nice photos of nature using different angles and working with lots of different colors.
For this assignment, I am choosing to focus on Nature. Since it is fall, I am hoping to capture some really nice photos of the fall colors and other things from nature that go along with this season. Here are some photos of nature that will help me as I complete this assignment: In this assignment, I will try to take pictures of all different types of nature. I hope to get some photos with pretty fall colors, and I hope to get better at taking nice, detailed photos of nature.
In this assignment, our job was to recreate a picture of a car we were given. The picture was edited and we were supposed to copy that picture as close as possible. I definitely learned a lot during this assignment. I learned how to use the Quick Selection tool. It took me awhile, but after practicing a lot, I was able to successfully use this tool. I liked this assignment because before I started, I would not be able to have created my own copy that looked just like what I was supposed to copy. I thought this was difficult, but really cool.
In this assignment, my job was to take photos of objects from a close perspective. By taking these photos close up, I was supposed to capture as much detail from the subjects as possible. I learned a lot during this assignment. I learned how to take photos from a close perspective and capture a lot of detail from each subject. Overall, this assignment went really well. I went around my house and my yard to find pictures for this assignment, and was able to easily get pictures of my subjects.
